Notice to Applicants and Customers regarding Gmail accounts
We have been made aware that a new security update from Google is impacting the delivery of automated emails from noreply@employmentcheck.org.uk to Gmail accounts. This may mean email updates to applicants regarding their application are filtered or deleted by Google.
When creating DBS applications for applicants with a Gmail email address, we recommend BU Admins notify their applicant of their Username and advise they follow the below steps:
- Check junk/spam filters for the email from noreply@employmentcheck.org.uk regarding the application. The email should confirm the username and contain a link to set a password which requires action to gain access to the application.
- If the email is not received, go directly to Employment Check at https://devoncc.employmentcheck.org.uk/. On entering the username, attempt the Forgot Password function. This should trigger a new email which may be possible to intercept from junk/spam filters.
- If neither of the above are successful, contact disclose@devon.gov.uk from the email associated with the application to verify identity, and provide a preferred contact telephone number. Our team can then call and manually set a password over the phone. For security reasons we can’t provide a password over email.
We thank you for your patience and understanding whilst Cantium Business Solutions are working hard to resolve this issue.
